In one of my original articles here, I was really questioning digital cameras, their values because they just don’t seem to last. As an update let me just say, I found a new camera that exceeds my expectations.
I researched everything I could about small digital cameras after the second pre-mature failure and settled on what I was hoping was to later become a good camera buying decision. After more than 3 months without a camera, it was sure nice to have something new on the way to my door. I chose the silver Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ4 8.1mp with a spare rechargeable battery and 4 two gig SDcards and it’s still going strong.
For a point and shoot camera, the Lumix has held up great. It takes flawless pictures, has great zoom and macro abilities and it’s control panel makes changing settings a breeze. The rechargable battery and a spare battery assures me that it always turns on. The extra battery was a great decision when lots of photos are taken, it’s come in very handy. I’m not certain how other people review this camera but, I give it 2 thumbs up and would suggest it to anyone.
I would venture to say you could get one fairly cheap now and if you’re looking for a good buying decision, this would be a good one. My other suggestion would be to buy all the extras when you buy. I made my purchase at Newegg.com and I saved loads of money on the extra battery and SDcards at the time of purchase.
